Owl62 Took the course last year. C-12-02. Received my beads 6 weeks ago. But they where not beads that we made during the course. Not sure who made the beads I received. They are a lot nicer than the ones I made. I use to be a Fox.

I believe that you where at JLTC. Junior Leader Training Conference. JLT Junior Leader Training, is a day long training, that is done within the troop. I "staffed" JLTC this year (I use staff very loosely, because I did almost nothing for a week. The Scouts that where staffers where great!) And we did nothing with a ticket. Which is why I was asking. I will have to get out the training manual to see if we missed this item.
-
I know what JLT is and I know what JLTC is. I even thought I knew what a ticket was. Until you mentioned it that you did it for JLT, at that point I was even more confused than I usually am. How do you work a ticket into a day long training event? How many items are on your ticket. What type of items are on our ticket? Do you choose up patrols for JLT?

Cracker Barrel for the troop is Friday Night after the campsite is set up, usually between 10pm and Midnight. This is done by patrols. Usually is made up of Summer Sausage, Cheese, Crackers, Taco Chips and Salsa, Bug Juice or Coffee. But the patrols could have just about anything they wanted. Cracker Barrels at Camporees are usually after the closing campfire and everyone partakes.

GEBlack You stood in line for 40 minutes, you poor thing! How long was the leader out there? He is trying run an event, probably was there the day before or more setting up, so he told you to put out your cig, you made a big deal out of it and he blew up at you! So what! Support the volunteers or become one! It was proably good for your son to see smoking as a bad thing!
-
GEBlack You where in a state park! Why in the blue blazes could you not walk away to have a smoke! Seems to me you are trying to push an agenda, which is fine, until you bring the boys into it, which you did, when you tried to smoke in front of them! You stated He would not allow smoking in his archery range. Notice the word you used here, HIS.

Caution Snide Remark ahead! fog maybe none of them want to be there because the troop you are with does not follow the program and there is a crabbing old guy there, that only has negative things to say. Sorry to hear no one wanted you to play baseball with them.

Must stop self Must stop Cannot fight it anymore! Because that is not the way I run MY Scout troop! I have better thing to do than to teach a 11 year old boy leadership skills! They are too young! I will give them a leadership position when I deem them good and ready, and not a minute before! The old scouts book where better! The uniform sucks! BSA policy are horrid! Because Bob White suggested it and I will never agree with him! Sorry, I will go away now.

Fat Old Guy I think you missed my point. If a SPL tells a new scout that a Class B uniform is accepatable for a event, where would the new scout look to see what a Class B uniform is? I have found that sometimes people how have been in scouting for awhile tends to forget that new people do not understand the "slang" of scouting. Ed Mori I think you meant "We" should not add or take away from the requirements.
-
gbern First question, do the boy know what a Class A or B uniform is? Do the parents? The reason I ask this is that the handbook does not address Class A or B uniform. Make sure they know what you mean when you say Class B the handbook calls it a sport activity uniform. This way if there is a questions you can tell them on what page to look up the information. If the troop is all wearing the uniform, they are most likely to follow along after a while. If not use uniform inspections with positive reinforcements to get everyone in uniforms.

Fellowship of the Ring, I found it just okay. But I loved the first book, The Hobbit there and back again. My favorite authour is Tom Clancy, still think I would enjoy Dune?

What would an ASM need to know from the PLC? The ASM could see the scheudle the PLC created for the meeting/campouts. Now I would like to know what has been discussed or decided, I usually ask my son, but I do not get much info from him. In my sons troop only the SM, is at the PLC meeting. Sometimes ASM or CM scheudle time with the PLC to discuss something, but they only stay for that part of the meeting. What am I missing?

FOG Why are you involved in scouting if you do not care about children that aren't in your charge? This seems completly backwards than what I would expect a Scout Leader to say.
-
I would rather see it like this. Red=Youth Gold=Eagle Scouts Plain=Scout Master/ASM/MC

Album = one or more recordings (as on tape or disc) produced as a single unit. this is from websters.com So a CD in an album! acc40 your not old, just correct! without knowing it.

Is it possbile that this scout really wants to go and the money is just not avaiable? Would it be possbile for a campership or something like that if money is the issue?
