"Volunteer lead" and "youth lead" are two phrases that are frequently repeated throughout scouting, but are rarely truly implemented. Be a volunteer who questions, and you will not be in that position next time around. My question here is, legally, where does the buck stop if a scout gets hurt at a district event due to failure to follow Scout rules, such as those related to short-term camp? Scoutmaster unit CO volunteer planning commissioner is a DE or ranger if on scout property. So it's truly volunteer-led if you agree with the professionals As to youth lead no real training or trainers are time by venture age yes at 10 no

What type of fees does each council pass on to the national level? Wondering what the fees to the council will be if there are fewer councils. I must agree that adult training is a joke. The few DEs I knew well enough to talk honestly, their training was just as bad. Ask one about a YPT question, and his answer is that it is coming in level 2 training.

Or they get tired of your calling them out (correctly) to many times they tell you that your services are not needed. But still send you FOS requests. -

I will disagree; if it happens, no matter what the reason, it is a scouter issue. The sad part is, where does the buck stop? With the professionals, who are the ones who should be high-level watchdogs, being the least trained and can be the last to unset the offending high-level volunteers, it took over 20 years to get them to stop using torches with the OA -
So no problem with the. Kerosene. (Major violation of the BSA policy) also use by under age scouts in can viewed as child endangerment. Why have rules

The issue is what unit is responsive if a she is named is named in a problem. -
Sorry, it led to that. The advancement rules for bor retesting are clear; they serve more for feedback on the process. That all the way up and including the E-board once it's signed off, it's done. I'm not sure why, perhaps because it's a small new troop, but why are adults doing most of the skill checks off? EAGLE BOR are more likely to get the Scout to tell their scouting story and future plans.

Join Scouts, get a free uniform via Goodwill and Council
jcousino replied to RememberSchiff's topic in Uniforms
National would never have it, as it would cut down on the sale of new uniforms. Great idea for the scouts, not sure the current cost of a new uniform plus patches. -
You make me proud to find someone else who teaches to the stature. I have said no to large 1-hour cpr classes. They always find someone else. There is no requirement for the merit badge for cards, but I will add it on the side if the scout would like. I cover the price of the card. But i do what someone who knows the correct answer, teaching the badge and hopefully an EMT or higher, to give some real-life encouragement. Basic skill was not the only part of an MB.

Please never fall for training instead of certification on anything. The one time something goes wrong, that card says that by my signing it, I currently have the training and certification to teach, evaluate, and certify you as trained and tested against a national standard. The cost for the card does vary, from $8 to $10 for AHA cards, Scouting, and ECSI, and the Red Cross has special rates for their classes. Remember, it's not just a check-off box if it goes wrong.

You can only help the ones you can.For one to survive, help is that you can pray for rest and ask God to help you know the differencee

I am in no way wanting to restrict landowners using good management practices, but it looks like one thing, do something else if there is money to be made, scouting = $$

very impressive project. i would unfortunately have to say that scout involvement violates the scouting LNT principles as this sheds provide a mineral source for a lot of small animals so removing something that is part of natural process violates leave what you find and respect wildlife. but it does sound interesting money or principles. my 2 cents

love to see more like that a very focus session on a field that is rare plus requires great skills and equipment that the scouts would not normally see. i would love see more state parks work with scouting to make good use of the rangers skill plus highlighting that whole profession (would aid youth and adults skills)

maybe i read it wrong is this policy a secondary policy on top of the churches normal policies. not a lawyer
