Fall Reunion is this weekend for Ordeal and Brotherhood. One mom sent an email to the Chapter Chief to see if her son could leave Saturday night after the Brotherhood ceremony. The answer was yes, so she sent out an email to all the Ordeal candidates informing them they can leave at 10:30 and where to park to retrieve their son. What is the age gap between the brothers? Mine are 3 years apart and I wouldn't consider it for a moment. The Den Chief position is one of the most important in a troop if done by a mature Scout and done correctly. If not, it can damage the Troops reputation in the eyes of a Pack and the parents. Most on this board would consider 13 still to young. It is also one of the most time consuming. The Den Chief needs to be a help to the DL not another cat to herd. Another thing to consider is with 2-3 dens you will end up reaching more boys, because you can have meetings on different nights. If Johnny ends up with a sports conflict on Tuesday he can move over to the den that meets on Thursday.
