  1. Yes, a good story. Of course the version I read the other day in the liberal press, didn't mention anything about the 2 being Eagle scouts.
  2. As a scoutmaster in the past I have accepted it, but it would be a unit by unit decision I'm sure.
  3. Yes, an unforgetable prayer. Nothing like reciting it at Philmont.
  4. I believe you can use unsused Wolf achievements as credit toward arrow points for your Wolf badge.
  5. I agree with packsaddle, I have often assumed that duty in my troop too.
  6. My district in the past has had the candidate obtain the letters and put them in his packet when applying for the EBOR. This is not what national wants, but they have done it anyway.
  7. Both are for civilian wear. Good idea about the Wood Badge nametag.
  8. When I took woodbadge the first time around and was never considered "good enough" to join the good old boys club and staff a course, what makes anybody thing that if I retake the course it would be any different. It would be the same old people running the show, and only letting in the individuals they feel are up to whatever imaginary standards they are applying.

Sounds like your list is pretty complete to me.
  10. I enjoyed the interaction with my fellow patrol members, and members of other patrols as well. I would love to serve on staff, but with the advent of the new course, that will unfortunately never happen. I guess I am just not elite wood badge material.
  11. We are blessed with plenty of local facilities. I would think liability and cost would be the prohibiting factors in having your own unit's climbing wall.
  12. Gee, I must be younger than I thought, I can't remember it ever being anything but adult led.
  13. Thank you, same to you.
  14. Thanks for sharing the photos.
  15. Yes, A happy and safe new year to everyone.
  16. I guess a non-confrontational approach would be the best. Point out the deficiancy to the scoutmaster/ committee chairman, or perhaps the troop advancement chair, whoever I felt I had the most raport with. Give the advice in an educational tone, maybe they aren't aware of the deficiency. Once they have been informed, if they choose to continue it, I guess I would let it pass, since like you said, I don't want to antagonize the unit and have them throw me out on my ear.
  17. What a great thing to do, thanks for sharing.
  18. I am really disgusted, my boss is making me work on Boxing Day!!~!!
  19. Had a great Christmas, now, back to work.
