  1. Bob White I was just giving the correct answer for the question I asked. Robert Birkby is the Author of the Boy Scout Handbook. Next Question What tip does Edward Cave have for hiking and what year did he write the tip?
  2. STOP Stay Calm Think Observe Plan Uncleguinea It is false, because I could not find it in the handbook. Remember your question was if the handbook says you should keep a empty bottle, not if if was a good idea or not! Is anyone still playing this game?
  3. R-E-S-P-E-C-T find out what it means to me R-E-S-P-E-C-T A little respect oh yeah ( Just a little bit) A little respect ( Just a little Bit)
  4. What am I missing? From the email that Eagleeyes posted, the Ad Hoc committee has 2 issues. Money and a watered down program. Same issues that I read about on this board constantly from BSA Scouters. What all is the Ad Hoc committee including in watered down program? Atheist? Females? Gays? Scout Skills? I would like more information. Because something seems to be missing. But it is probably just me being dense.

    New Tigers

As a dad of triplets, super twins You have triplets?!?! and twins?!?! are you saying that the triplets are super twins? or do you really have twins and triplets? I thought you where also involved in Venturing.
  6. Fuzzy Bear I have to challenge you, I give the answer out of the book. Sit quietly in the woods.
  7. Once upon a time in a land far away there was an Eagle he had become wise by working his ticket along with his other helpful Eagles. This Eagle was a wise old Eagle, so he suggested (he tried to TELL her, but that is another story for another day) that his wife go and try to work her ticket, so she can become wise like him. But when she came back from her 1st ticket thingie, the Eagle was so disappointed, as his wife had became a Buffalo. Is that original enough for you?
  8. Fuzzy Bear Sit on a leaf and wait for the fall? D. is sort of the answer, Sit quietly in the woods.
  9. SWScouter So close but not quite. The S is incorrect.
  10. Within the BS Handbook what does Stop, stand for?
  11. Gosh Golly Gee, I am still waiting for OGEs' question?!??!!? Do you play well with others? Yes, did I win? Was that the question? Is that the answer? Is it my turn to ask a question? Why do I feel like I am at troop meeting with a group of new scouts?
  12. dozer We have a name for people like you! Resourceful! Sounds like a great game!
  13. If you startup a Venture (Crew, this still confuses me, the names that is)they should only be in the Crew. They will need to work to get the unit up and running. And should have nothing to do with the Scout troop. Venturing should not be tied to a troop. A Crew is a separate entity from the troop. My feeling would be a Venture Patrol, keep them in the troop.
  14. That tends to happen when you upset a moderator! That is a feature here, sometimes it cuts off you message! Seems that it happens to some posters more than others. It has only happened to me 3 times. For others it seems to do it for almost every post. Like what happened th(This message has been edited by dan)

  17. From the GTSS Two-deep leadership: Two registered adult leaders, or one registered adult and a parent of a participating Scout, one of whom must be at least 21 years of age or older, are required for all trips or outings. There are a few instances, such as patrol activities, when no adult leadership is required. Coed overnight activities require male and female adult leaders, both of whom must be 21 years of age or older, and one of whom must be a registered member of the BSA. This can be found at www.scouting.org search for Guide to safe
