The patrol yell is covered with sufficient details in the Scout Handbook. It is also covered in the PL Handbook. It is also covered in the SPL Handbook. It is also covered in the Troop Leader Guidebook. Have you read those? Has your SPL?

The SPL says “all patrols, when reporting to a station, the PL confirms everyone is there and has the patrol give the patrol yell”. Very simple. In scouts, and life, this is pretty far down on the list.

Just like any other skill, the SPL discusses the gap at a PLC. They then ask an older scout from a different troop to come in and instruct or they ask an adult volunteer to come in an instruct. This is true for all advancement.

Dude. What are you getting at? Some of it may be. A few posts back someone gave you a ton of references. A SM can use these and work with the SPL. You seem to be getting at something none of us here are getting. Are you trying to find an indisputable reference to make the SPL comply? I don’t know think you’ll find it. What are you really getting at?

Many of these are national employees. Ours are. I have heard some aren’t. I assume that is for low volume, or marginal operations national chooses not to staff. Then the council would be the reseller.

I don’t believe this is the case with our council. We have 2 registrars at this point, half the year both focus on registration and half the year they focus on camp registrations. At one point, some councils paid a fee to a national registrar service where their registrars were basically outsourced to national. Our council did not do that.

This is such a poor and untrue choice of words. They should never use this. The better phrase would be something about an organized distribution of funds so that all get something. Not anywhere near fully paid, nor is the debt incurred ever gone. Yeah, they should stop saying that.

I hope those councils in that position have been in talks. I know my council, before this round of inflation, thought they could cover from the endowment without changes in future spending due to endowment growth.

I don’t think you do. Your response is very bizzar-o. This is a fun tool they the SPL can use. People have been kind and quoted original resources. An SM can share that with the SPL. The SPL can then choose what, if any, methods to use. If the SM thinks the SPL got it wrong, then they can talk. Patrol yells are super informal and very very minor. I don’t understand why you are putting them on such a high pedestal. I’m not getting what you are getting at.

So, what about the non-settling insurance companies that didn’t agree? How does that get resolved? Is that only upside? That is more money into the trust? Who lays the legal part of getting those to settle?

My current council? Yes. Very good about it. My later father’s council? Not at all. After the very poor experience I had with them, I said they should never be surprised why their endowment is short of funds. I will never be surprised why they sold our beloved camp.

I assume if the council didn’t pledge the land, then they keep the excess as they are paying money. A more specific question is what happens to the excess of land was pledged and it greatly exceeds the estimate? What if it undersells?

They get added to Scoutbook 24-36 hours after they are registered. No RSVPs other than for registered adults, parents, or a Scouts. No access beyond your own children if you aren’t registered.

You have to be an admin in both units and select both units with a check. We do that for joint pack, boy troop, and girl troop activities. It isn’t perfect, but not bad. The email thing will be sorted out.
