My son and another scout in our Troop just received theirs. Donald J Trump signature was present. Councils will have a bit of catch-up work to get through the backlog. -
Let’s not overthink @Armymutt’s strategy. His troop has a lot of immature scouts. (I wouldn’t use “junior” although they all would probably be in junior high school.) It’s not entirely clear how to adjust for that. They will grow into their positions of responsibility with a lot of hiking and camping, and adults fading into the background a little more after every campout. I would discourage leaders from establishing hard and fast prohibition of electronic devices. Rather, develop systems of etiquette for the youth to apply using their devices. -

Actually that has been the rule, Cubs can only do shooting sports at district/council events, since I was a Cub in the 1980s. -
What was the cub scout pack doing there? I thought the new range and target activities policies that went live last year only permitted cubs to do range activities at district and council events? -

7/16/2025 Owasippe Scout Reservation...our Scout was only 15 years old. Scout Salute and Farewell. Camp Owasippe is perhaps the oldest operating scout camp in US.
