  1. Terry, I like much of the new stuff you have put in, but also have a few problems and they may just be me;) --Scouter.com is lots slower than it used to be and any other pages. Because other pages havent really changed and that I have DSL, I realised it must be the server some how. --The squelch thing doenst seem to be working for me. I do like the new way the last 24 hours page is set up where you can go directly to the page instead of going to page 1 and clicking to the page you want. Keep up the good work:) And if you ever need help, let me know and I might be able to:)
  2. Trail Pounder, I thought you guys were backpackers??
  3. Well, Mr. Trail Pounder, You are so welcome. What was so funny, I'm not sure, but hey:)
  4. Eamonn, I'm with you. Also, thought, you wont be able to help him because of the fact that he doesnt own a car!
  5. Nope, finished it off last night. And I ate most of the whole thing and it was fairly big.
  6. I think it's the fact that we are smarter than you think. Yep, I'm going to give you an expensive trip or whatever and in return you're going to run off with it and I get nothing. I think NOT. I dont know you, and you're on the internet--2 strikes
  7. Dont worry, I've had your share of my cake;) We got an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. I've eaten over half of it:)
  8. Purcelce, thats been floating around on the internet for awhile now. How ugly!! Anyway... BDU's are probably the best way to go:) solid colors that is;)
  9. They now have ads on one of their websites. I want to say that it is the Good Turn for America.org one. Not sure. They have posters, radio ads, and tv ads on the page for you to view.
  10. Boonie hats? They are similar to campaign hats except they have a soft brim and not a hard one. They are kind of military style.
  11. You do it here, dont you FOG? Chat rooms are cool (and the only one I've been in was at groups.msn.com/boyscouts:)) I dont know if I like the idea too much. Part of it being that Buckeye over there has done a good job trying to build it up and such. I mean, hey, having one here though may bring more people to the conversations
  12. Alright everyone, time for more getting to know each other:) Here's what I'm looking for:): age if you'd like, birthday, and where:) I'll start:) Birthday, 2 hours away... February 17, 1989. I'll be 15 this year so I have one year till I'll get my driver's license and maybe in the NG in 2:) I was born in St. Louis, MO but have lived in southern IL my whole life, mainly in the same house. Your turn:)
  13. Around here, it also shows "style". Lots of people wear them to school, etc
  14. Dave, its great to see you here:) I still think a pair of OD BDU pants would fit the bill perfectly in the field. FOG, I'm with you about the jacket too;)
  15. LOL, I think you're making them mad Bob. Thats Ok, somebody has to;)
  16. Well, I couldnt find the knife on the website, but you may want to go to imsplus.com and email/call them and look for a small lockback carabiner knife. I got mine nearly 9 months ago so they may no longer carry them. It's not the greatest, but it works for me.
  17. Money... Not only does it cost money to make and distribute the hard copies of it, but it also takes money to have that stuff on the internet.
  18. Hey guys, I'm trying to find some ideas for activities and such. So do you guys rock climb, backpack, etc? If so, could you tell me about how often and what kind of requirements are there? Costs? Training? etc Thanks guys:)
  19. OK, try this one. We had a kid who "had a knife" in the locker room. That was two years ago, but I still dont believe it belonged to him. He seems to be somebody who would, but I just dont think it was his. Anyway, he didnt get anything. As requested... His jeans were on the floor. Somebody kicked them (he isnt very well liked) and they spun around. When he picked them up, there was a small knife on the floor. I dont believe it was his because if it was, it would have been deeper in the pocket and wouldnt just fall out that easily.(This message has been edited by hops_scout)
  20. Alright, how bout this one..... our council owns the property of our camp, BUT does not own the road. I dont remember who owns it, but I'll betcha that group or person didnt put it up for bidding:) You gonna come bring a suit against our council, too? Also, we are having a similar problem right now in our county. Two cities both want a YMCA. The local YMCA board, whatever, decided to build it kind of in the middle of the cities. Here's where the problem is--- the property is city-owned property that is outside the city limits. The new mayor and attorney (second or third one since the mayor came into office last year) are now saying that the contract is illegal and wont finish the deal. This is after most has been done. Money has been raised, down payment has put paid, etc and just now is the mayor saying it is illegal and everything! Did anybody ever see this article? http://www.renewamerica.us/columns/zeiger/030802(This message has been edited by hops_scout)
  21. My knife is a little bit akward, but it's a lockback that I got for 2 bucks. A Scout is Thrift:)
  22. Off topic (but OGE kind of brought it up:)) Did anybody see last Saturday night on ESPN a guy in the NBA pulled down another player's pants down during the game. Then, ESPN kept showing it over and over again!!:)
  23. Thats OK, Proud Eagle. We all have that problem:) Currently, I have 3 sleeping bags, two pads, and a cot. Also, I have one tent and need another one for backpacking. I have a backpack, but would like a bigger, better one for backpacking. I just have gear thrown about my room:(
