    • The non settling insurers are an asset of the BSA Settlement Trust. There is a meeting in August in front of a judge. The Judge that is hearing the case (the non settling insurers have been sued) can issue a judgment in favor of the trust. That is how the law works. It is not at the discretion of the insurers if they pay or not.
    • I struggle with our Camps having two different sets of rules*.  A more comprehensive set for scouting events and a less restrictive one for non-scouting (family, fundraiser) events.. The archery accident at Summit in May still bothers me. Scouts who attend both, quickly see the differences and ask why.  That said, be safe and have fun. • We all knew this was coming right? The Church, then BSA, now the next biggest target? These vulture lawyers have a business model, they will continue to hop from target to target like locusts consuming as much as possible.
    • Thank you so much for this comment, it truly means a lot! Our goal from the start was to create something that not only raises meaningful support for Scouting, but also embodies the spirit of the program: adventure, personal growth, and community. We’re thrilled to hear that it resonates with you on all those levels. You're right, welcoming folks beyond the Scouting circle, and giving people a real experience (not just a product) has been a game-changer. We hope it inspires others to think creatively about how to fundraise and strengthen the program at the same time. Thanks again for the support — and yes... this is the way.
    • So that's not a lawsuit, that's not BSA, and that's not how the insurance industry works at all. An insurance company can be billed any amount for any reason, and it can be denied, approved, sent for review, sent for arbitration, etc ... The article you posted does not say what you said before and it doesn't mean anything.
