For units with contingents this season, and for individuals attending PTC or NAYLE, you should track the wildfire at the ranch

You asked, we listened. You will find, in the camping forum, a cooking and recipes Subforum. There are no limits on technique; the last time I checked cooking MB requires home as well as field skills. Enjoy

At members requests, we now have a cooking and recipes forum. There are no bounds on methods of cookery here; Cooking MB requires a youth member to cook in the field and in a home/institutional kitchen. Pill post my first recipe:. Chicken breast foil dinner PORTION 8 oz boneless skinless chicken breasts chunked; can sub 1 thigh on the bone 1/2 ear corn, chopped into 1-2 inch segments 1/4 baker to 1 full new potato, chunked 1 medium tomato 1 bell pepper 1/4 to 1 onion, chunked and layers peeled (depends on size) 2 carrots, chunked 2 T water Season and spice to suit (I use a commercial Italian herb or bouquet Garni blend) 1/2 t commercial chicken stock place ingredients on wide aluminum foil. Place over (on a cooking grill) or near a fire reduced to coals. Check after 40 minutes for Doneness.

I will float the request.

BSA reaffirms duty to God aspect of all-programs through resolution adopted at 2018 national annual meeting.

To me, It's COURTEOUS for a Scout to ask the CC or Advancement coordinator to arrange for a BOR at next weeks' meeting. Time matters to volunteers, and as part of Adult Association, Scouts should learn other people's time matters. As a BOR chair, a couple times I had such a thorny response to a question I adjourned the BOR without a result until the next week, to give myself time to consult with the SM, Commish, and District Advancement Operating Committee Chair.

From National Annual Meeting: OA Eligibility Updates
John-in-KC replied to mashmaster's topic in Order of the Arrow
It seems to me a business discussion between the Order and the Naticoke Lenni Lenape is called for. If the Order has tribal blessing, and if instead of trying to look like Plains Indians, we drill down on one Tribe's heritage, we can move past cultural appropriation. -
Proud of you, but make sure you get a receipt for the goods in kind donation. I don't know if you qualify to itemize, but if you do...

Condom Distribution at World Jamboree
John-in-KC replied to 69RoadRunner's topic in Open Discussion - Program
DOD, in the midst of OEF & OIF, was no longer interested in the troop bill IT had to pay to support a jamboree on Defense properties. That's part of why the search for the Summit began... -

First, it's a national camp, so G2SS is not the governing document, National Camp Standards and ACA standards kick into play. Second:. This is a WOSM event, hosted by BSA so BSA can get the revenue. Our rules aren't as important as their rules. Thats how I see this. -

In a word, BSA needs Summit Bechtel to generate revenue to cover the various loans. -

They are the authorizing body. BSA doesn't get a WSJ without WOSM. We want the game, we play by their rules. Is that really a difficult concept? -
GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WORKSHEETS!!!! 😡

WOSM authorizes World Jamborees. Their H/S rules apply. What's so difficult in that? -

Here's a link to NCOA on Facebook. Same message. Note VENTURERS are included as eligible youth members. -
Good.

BSA is a national member society of WOSM. WOSM is the ultimate grantor of the license for Scouting. The he thread will stay locked until we've had a chance to talk. Future threads will be deleted out of hand.

Ladies and gentlemen Here is the 2018 Guide to Safe Scouting. I've skimmed it. The most significant change I see is all Scouters are mandatory reporters for purposes of youth protection. Here's a link from the National website, I'm also attaching a copy. I commend it to all for your critical review. Here's the link if you need to copy/paste it into local documents: https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/pdf/34416.pdf This is the local downloadable copy: 34416.pdf
