  1. I see it a bit differently. The BSA is not defined by what it once was. It is defined by what it is now. We can all debate if the BSA has lost it's way. But it is what it is. We can choose to mourn the passing of what was or to figure out how to make the best way forward.

  2. We aren’t just mourning the loss of a noble youth program originally intended to make boys into moral and ethical decision makers for the rest of their adult life, some of us are mourning our passion that seems to have no where to go. Ummmm. Let me talk to the Director." He came back with the Director, and they both praised my ideas, but again , said, "so long as you are registered as a Boy Scout Leader (ASM) you can't do Cub Scout stuff. HOWEVER (conspir

We decided to do it while we were in our 30's so we could see what the council does with the interest (the part they get to spend) for 30+ years. We don't make bank at all. We made a choice to do a Payment plan for them and sacrifice a little to help grow the endowment fund to ensure a future of Scouting. Like the great leaders I had before me, and the people who donated before them.... Where in the Scout law is it to be turds to the pe
