GernBlansten, you shouldn't be conducting those checks anyway. That should be the patrol leader's job. I agree the youth need to be supported. Sounds like this guy needs to be retrained. I, too, think opening the tent flaps could be a YP issue and even if it's not it is still a privacy issue.

The nice things is I've been able to avoid the peer pressure to wear this or that, etc. I wear what I want when I want. Yes, I wear the Nike Shox these days, but I wear a lot of Nike stuff. For one thing, all of my school uniforms and such are Nike. For another, two of my sisters work for Champs Sports so I get good deals. If they didn't get good deals, I'd probably not wear so much Nike.

Nah, I'm not a huge fan of the cold. West Point will be bad enough;)

Eamonn, Southern Illinois is quite a bit warmer than PA. You can move down here and we'll put you to work with a troop, crew, or maybe even find you a ship!

We went out of council this year going to Camp Sunnen in Potosi, MO. Great camp. This is the second year we have gone to Camp Sunnen and I believe the SM intends to return next year. We've gotten to dislike our council camp because it doesn't really offer the patrol method.

Been home for a few hours from camp. Looking for some company.. will be in most of the night.

I just returned from camp today and have spent most of the week thinking about applying for camp staff next year. It will be the first year I've really been able due to sports, etc. We'll just have to wait and see.
