    • Backstory: Last year at the national meeting there was a few references to Quality Assurance coming back to replace JTE. That did not happen (or has not happened yet).  Today I spoke with a couple people from different territories and it would appear that at the CST 5 and the CST 6 annual meetings it was briefed that there is a new council evaluation tool coming out this year. It does not sound like a JTE replacement, it sounds more like a council being audited by national tool. Has anyone else from the other CST' heard of this? Was it briefed there or at any other territory or national meetings? Has anyone that is going to the national meeting in a couple weeks heard if this is getting briefed there?
    • I did not want to start a new thread so I figured I would tack this onto here. It would appear that Voyageurs Council no longer exists and was carved up to the other councils adjacent in Northern MN.
    • May 1 update: average $557,053 per TDP claim. For the TDP, 47% claims determined and 25% paid (14,285 paid, 58,103 claims) For the IRO, 20% claims determined and 6% paid (14 paid, 217 claims)  If the Trust were to stop here, just based on claims paid amounts (not determined), they would need just shy of $8B. I think that is getting near the max amount if all insurance companies settle.  The average claim has increased each month (from last month, an increase of 4.2%, so above the COLA which I don't believe was applied the entire month). The COLA incurred to date (based on paid claims) is $190MM, but likely none of that will be realized in any way, it's just going through the motions.
    • This is your chance to make a positive impact. Find a way to be happy that you have an opportunity to make this scouts journey better.  We all know that there are dirtbag units out there. The rest of us have to be the beacon for the scouts that want to actually grow.
    • It's definitely an uphill battle with the recent membership decline and abuse scandal. I often question the time I have invested in the program, but my son and his friends still seem to be having fun, so I'll push forward. We're providing a welcoming environment where they can exercise, socialize, and get outside. Some kids really need that.
