  1. The majority of the IVF contains names of people who had no criminal complaints filed against them. Some even admitted their guilt and there was no criminal complaint. Including one of my abusers. Publish his name and maybe someone can track him down. He only abused 11 to 13 boys in my troop (that part is sarcasm).
  2. Does anyone here seem to think that today’s news conference will change the course of the Bankruptcy?
  3. I am supposed to be at work at 12PST already told them I will be 1 hour late. Not sure if I can actually make it today.
  4. I cried a couple of times. Quite sure there was more than just you and me.
  5. Litigation is the only reason that BSA has even acknowledged a problem. Without litigation everything would be set back to 100 years ago. PS of all the statements I have read this might be the most ludicrous. Is there a trophy for that?
  6. At this juncture if I was a a current scout leader I would have serious concerns about Nationals leadership abilities and their legal representation. They negotiate a settlement with Hartford that has wholes so big in it you could shoot 18 wheelers thru it. They saddle up next to the coalition lawyers basically ignoring the TCC and now it appears they have a major PR disaster on their hands just when they put out a settlement that most claimants appear to totally dislike (at least I have not heard of one claimant giving support). What is next?
  7. Even Uber and Lyft require background checks. I know of someone who wasn't able to be a Lyft driver because of drug and assault convictions 20 years ago. Funny though Uber allowed him to drive.
  8. My ex wife had to go to the RCMP in Canada for a background check before she was allowed to go on an overnight with our daughters Girl Scout/Girl Guide troop. And we paid for it out of our pocket.
  9. Personally now that this has been announced I am not surprised that it is Anderson and Associates who MJ has chosen to help him. They are a well respected firm in the CSA arena and definitely not a wall street backed mass tort firm. I believe this will totally damage the BSA's and Coalition lawyers expectation of a faster pennies on the dollar settlement. Hooray!!
  10. Please don't make me laugh so hard. You give answers that are basically saying why you can not give a straight answer to a question. I do care about current and future youth and have never said that I wish for BSA to go away. I will say though that if BSA did go away then there will be other organizations to fill in the void and I doubt there will be lives lost or current scouters who become so traumatized that they have to enter psych wards, take neurotransmitters, have failed lives where they can not connect within relationships, issues with authority etc. etc. because of it. But please how are you advocating for survivors?
  11. You are correct BSA could not afford to face what was less than 300 lawsuits and so they elected to enter bankruptcy. The issue of why it is pennies on the dollar is because of those that are piggy backing to try to escape what might cost them much more money in the future. The LC's are one those. If this goes to a BSA National only exit then many LC's will face financial ruin along with the CO's. Insurance company payouts will be far greater than the 850 million on the table now and if settlements with all the insurance companies were made I doubt it would amount to more than say 2.5 billion when the exposure is at least ten times that amount. the fair thing would have the LC's put in an amount equal to what a bankruptcy would cost them (say 40% 0f assets), have the CO's make a considerable settlement and leave the insurance company's to answer on their own. It is the insurance companies participation from the invite by the BSA which makes the current settlement offer to be pennies on the dollar.
  12. First off I have no partner. If you are referring to @CynicalScouterI am sure he would tell you he is as independent of a thinker as I am. He is free to post whatever he wishes and does so with out my collusion (we have never spoke or sent messages to each other. I have asked you the questions in various ways hoping to get an honest response from you. I can tell thru your responses/non responses that you don't really want to give an honest answer to a point blank question . I asked you based on my my situation what you would consider fair and you haven't answered. It is OK that you do not answer but please do not say you "care" or advocate for survivors.
  13. I really wasn’t looking for a dollar amount answer. I really wanted to know if he thought pennies on the dollar was fair. His non answers are saying that he does.
  14. I really would like a straight answer from @HelpfulTracks He seems to be very good at not answering. Yes I asked him a hypothetical if it happened to you and I received an answer of it wouldn’t. When I tried again he said I shouldn’t ask hypotheticals. He makes statements about advocating for victims. He said he wants just compensation for victims but he won’t say what that is. By the matrix I have a minimum of 2.7 mil. In value. I wonder how much he thinks a fair amount of actual cash I should receive.
  15. So do you believe that pennies on the dollar is just compensation and how are you advocating to get victims the best possible compensation? PS this is a non hypothetical question.
  16. You don’t know how you would have reacted because it didn’t happen to you. At the age of 13 I could stand up to almost anyone. But as I asked if it had happened to you how would you feel if 50 years later you are being offered pennies on the dollar
  17. I understand your drift. But if it happened to you at the age of 13 you would have been confused, ashamed, and most likely in denial. So 50 years later you are now dealing with it and being offered pennies on the dollar. What now?
  18. Pennies on the dollar being offered by BSA, LC’s Participating CO’s and insurance companies to abuse victims. And yes that includes me. If it included you or your child what would be your reaction?
  19. Funny though how other classes within the bankruptcy are not getting pennies on the dollar...only abuse claimants.
  20. Have you seen anything that breaks down claimants and who their attorneys are? To get to that figure those attorneys would have to represent 66,000 claimants. Tim Kosnoff says he represents 16,000 and he is very vocal in his opposition. That would mean that only 500 claimants are represented by other firms.
  21. And the LC's contribution is only one element of the compensation plan.
