I wish I had a few old geezers in my committees and Leaders
-
I am going to say (and I see some don't agree) if I ever see a scout in white socks I kindly ask him not to wear them to meetings.
And yes it is APART of the uniform !

My pack meets weekly - Tigers All the way up to Webs
We also have 1 activity during June July Aug + 1 pack meeting per month
-
List includes Tents and snack. Yes they are providing Breakfast lunch and Dinner -

Jim I completely understand and DON'T understand how parents do not make the time for their boys. YES everyone is busy. I have began to wonder though if cub scouting interferes with Keeping up with the Kardasians, or Big Brother? Seriously though
-
Received my information packet via email today for this weekends Ordeal and I find it rather odd they need to include what to bring? I mean seriously its a campout! shouldn't they know?
-
Not crazy at all, we do this as well
-
The scouting program can't be presented through the lens of a projector in an air conditioned hall.
Which is one of my only complaints with the Wood Badge course, was the majority of the class was indoors
There is so much out there.. I wish I could get LOST for a week and no one get really upset, the wife and kids might just not know what to do.

Trail's End has a web portal that you can use to sell online already- they ship direct to the customer for you and everything. My son used it when he was in Cub Scouts.
Beat me to it

I live on the out skirts of Memphis, TN in Marion Arkansas. This happened in Southave, Ms which is just 45 min.
1 link the first Story
http://wreg.com/2014/08/19/someone-stole-trailer-camping-gear-from-boy-scouts/
OUTHAVEN, Miss.  A Southaven Boy Scout troop said thieves got away with thousands of dollars worth of camping gear after their trailer was stolen from a church parking lot.
The Boy Scouts of America motto is “always be prepared,†but a Southaven boy scout troop said its members weren’t prepared for this.
“One of our leaders said, you know, that just stinks,†Wayne Ashmore said.
Ashmore is one of the leaders with Boy Scout Troop 376 and said someone swiped their camping trailer.
“We had tents, stoves, lanterns, you know, our pots and pans,†Ashmore said. “Stuff that we had worked for years, you know, raising money to buy and now it’s all gone.â€Â
What was most shocking to the troop was that the trailer was stolen from a church parking lot.
Second part of the Story
http://wreg.com/2014/09/02/family-passes-it-on-to-help-replace-boy-scout-troops-stolen-camping-gear/
SOUTHAVEN, Miss.  The Boy Scouts organization is all about helping boys become honorable young men. But scouts with one local troop recently had to learn a life lesson about how dishonorable people can be, when their trailer full of camping gear was stolen.
So when one scout’s mom told us she wanted to Pass It On to their troop leader, the decision was easy.

Nine isnt too many !!!! I think 10 is an Ideal number for 1 person and an assistant.

You know I have developed some GREAT relationships when I took Wood Badge back in February, relationships I wouldn't trade for anything. Maybe boys don't realize how important those relationships are because of things like FaceBook. I don't know, who am I..Just some 38 year old OLD MAN. I am very much looking forward to new relationships I will forge in our OA Ordeal at the end of the month.

WOW !!!! man that SUCKS. I'd have something to say

Thank you LeCastor ! I like the way you sum it up nicely. You are right ! I will remember these words

As someone that is Jewish. Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the year and not a happy holiday. It would be respectful to not conflict with that date. We avoid a large number of Christian days during the year.
My wife is Jewish and I do understand. My remarks were kinda in jest

Start em out early learning about Patrols, 3 groups EASY

Your headline made me shake my head a few times. "Anonymous" is the hacker group that makes a lot of headlines targeting institutions and people that it finds offensive' date=' but seems to be lying low in the recent months.[/quote']
I thought the same thing KDD

keep it up and there wont be any weekends left. J/S

Thanks so much guys for the help. From what I understand this lodge has been in disarray for some time and not very active, only because of the leadership.
-
This isnt a "scout" issue. Fine, tell the boys when you are hoovering over them that this activity is not condoned at scouting events. No issue with that. You can't control what they do at school though.

I want to see the stick !!!
-
This is why I would never want to sit in on an EBOR.
This sums in up nicely!
