King Ding Dong

In my council "pressurized fuel training" is required for adults to light a propane stove. I attended a UofS class on camp stoves a couple of years ago and received my training card. Unfortunately the class was mostly "look at my huge collection camp stoves" or at least that's all I remember. At a camporee last fall with another troop some Scouter were scrambling to find some matches because they reminding each other that you cannot use pressured fuel (bic stick lighter) to ignite pressurized fuel (Coleman propane stove). Anyone know the rational behind this ?

That may be the case and a smart Scout would then hold of on his EBOR until he was in high school.

"Reach out and touch someone" was just a marketing message, it can't be done. Yet.

Our school has one, I will ask the around. You could call a movie theater or even a restaurant supply store.

It's a big problem around here. All the parks are asking for help.

Hey, that's my District ! 15 years since the last Hornaday in GSLAC, what an accomplishment. I tend to agree with you, but how was Eagle required for any of his other accomplishments ? (Other than the palms).

I would tend to agree. More open ended questions "have you hit any stumbling blocks you are not sure how to navigate?" Versus, "have you completed x, y and z ? You are starting to fall behind, better get them done." I do like the suggestion not limiting the projects to "build something". One of my sons friends was hit by a car on his bike two days after getting it for Christmas. He will not make a full recovery (severe nerve damage), so I really like the idea of a bike rodeo.

Speaking of bug juice, Bryan has a post about this yesterday. Nothing like a 5 mile hike to prep a can of soda for lunch. Some of those hydration bladders are 2L as well.

Have I really missed something here ? I have never heard of any governmental entity requiring a religious organization to perform any ceremony gay or straight. I have never heard of anyone even suggest that occur. Where are you comming up with this stuff ?

My bad. I forgot the turn this one took. Can't say I actively support gay or straight marriage. Just something to be tolerated. After 20 years this September some days my tolerance level is better than others.
