Knots are a symbol of an active program.....Most Camporees have knot tying contest. You actually had to tie knots to pitch a tent or tarp. The point is knots should be second nature by the time a lad is an eagle.

Sure the scoutmaster has some control... Don't go to summer camps with poor councilors and when the feedback form comes out let the Camp staff know how you feel........ Do not recommend councilors who are the giveme guys. I have a federal court judge who does the citizenship badges......While the summer camp offers it as well.......A pretty poor job of it I might add. who are my guys going to see????? Since becoming SM I have told all of them no Citizenships at summer camp.

well I applied to the owner of the casino's foundation for enough funds for 7 tents. I also applied to a national retailers foundation for funds for 4 boy for summer camp.... The CC raised his eye brows when I told him what I was doin....... We will see..... It wasn't as hard as you made it sound....Filled the forms, a few fed numbers....Sent it in.
