  1. Personally I would recommend Optoma Brand. I have a Optoma Pro150s. But that Model is discontinued. I use it for Movies, Computer Presentations. Why Buy a Big Screen when you can get a Device that is portable and you can virtually get TV that is Changeable in size.. Price out a TV that is 27 feet Wide by 15 feet high...and see if you can get one for under 1000 I would recommend no less than 2800 Lumens and at least 3000:1 Contrast ratio Most have at least 5000:1 Contrast Now and Many are 3D Ready I have set Mine up outdoors I will never buy anoth

  9. - Has your unit been greatly inconvenienced by rules in your area on firewood transport? No we don't travel far - Do you traditionally bring firewood to a campouts, or use what's available at the site? Well for Campfires we scrounge Wood..Wood Burns no different when it comes to just watching and as a light source For Use with the BBQ Trailer I bring good woods for cooking...Of Course being in Texas I have an abundance of Mesquite but I also once in awhile buy Hickory, Apple, and Oak...I prefer Seasoned wood for Heat Source and a Green wood for Smoking

  11. And that Merit Badge Councilor ate a week of Summer Camp with Me.. I hated seeing the Old Camp where boys did all the Cooking be sold off and now we just have 1 camp with a Dining Hall and No Cooking
  12. Merit Badge Councilors are separate from Troops.. Your not held accountable by them and certainly NO Committee Chair There are requirements to be meet. Obviously Boys will use a Merit Badge Councilor they like or because they are easiest. If a Boy is gonna quit over 1 Merit Badge then there is more to the Story To me the only reason a Troop Has their Own Merit Badge Councilor is to just get signed off and fly by. If a Scout wants the easy route they are welcome to use another Councilor, I won't waste my time meeting the Boy's expectation of what needs to be done vs what the requi

In 1983 our Philmont OA Contingency barely had enough room for Scouts, Adult and all of our gear in a Single Passenger Van for the 502 Mile Road Trip..We were a Poor Group we could not afford the Charter Bus like Rich Troops normally do. And that Was with one of Group Driving in From West Point to meet us there

  21. Council should Keep Updated Contacts. We have Councilors renew their Merit Badges Yearly..it ain't automatic anymore
  22. cut and pasted from http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/Media/InsigniaGuide/03.aspx Excess Insignia With the exception of the Cub Scout badges of rank and Arrow Points, members wear only the insignia that show their present status in the movement. Members should make every effort to keep their uniforms neat and uncluttered. Previously earned badges and insignianot representing present statusmake a fine display on a BSA red patch vest, a trophy hide or blanket, exhibited in the home of the recipient, or at functions where such a display is invited. Members may wear only temporary patches
