Mine, too, is fiarly simple. My last name is Hopper therefor I have been nicknamed hops or something similar. The scout part, too, is very simple. I am a Scout. This is my user name pretty much all over the web, except for my email and my website URL.

I feel you need to change the night of your meeting for the venture crew since they are "active" in both. How do you make them choose? They choose the troop because they are leaders, then they let down the crew when they cant do anything because they arent able to plan anything. and vise versa.

I believe our school has a policy that if it is for a non profit organization, it is free or a small fee. And, they have to have a school rep present the whole time.

Welcome Aboard. Sounds like to me that patrols need to be combined to get more than 5 people in it. Maybe let them chose a buddy to be in a patrol together??

I'm a troop guide as well. Our New Scout Patrol has two guides. I'm a Star Scout and my partner is a new Eagle. We also have a troop guide with the second year boys as well. Plus, we have almost half the troop who are considered troop guides.

Maybe it is time for the Activity Coordinator to become a boy to gain leadership. You would still need somebody to overlook him at work, but he could do the majority of it. Maybe his parents as the adult??
