  1. Well with that analogy I would say that it took a village to abuse me. The village consisted of BSA National, the LC, a CO, a Troop and an abuser hence as a village they are responsible and should pay.
  2. I do not want to beat a dead horse but you make statements with insinuations without real numbers or meaning. It was just 2 simple questions. PS I know money and all survivors know money will not fix pain. It is compensation for the pain.
  3. So I ask you what are "impossible expectations" versus reasonable expectation in dollars? Also what are the "two wrongs do not make a right"? Are you saying the abuse was wrong and just compensation is wrong?
  4. Copied from TCC website The next regular Town Hall of the Official Committee of Tort Claimants' (the “TCC”) in the Boy Scouts of America bankruptcy cases will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, 8 pm (Eastern).
  5. A bad deal for BSA survivors became worse with the "negotiated" settlement with Century and became a sweetheart deal for insurance company's. This is starting to feel more and more like the BSA is settling with insurance instead of survivors.
  6. I just watched the coalition town hall along with several others that I am on a chat with. KR started to get very heated at the end when we asked a lot of questions about what he was saying. The official question count was at about 26 and between the 3 or 4 of us we must have asked 30 questions. Not an a very accurate question count by the coalition. He also talked in a not nice way about Jim Stang and the fact that TCC has paused town halls until after voting. And once again he said big announcements were coming real soon.
  7. They are not representing victims on a contingency basis. TCC lawyers are Pachulski Stang Ziehl and Jones LLP. and they were hired by the TCC and paid for by the BSA.
  8. Can you explain that please? My understanding is that the 10% is going into the settlement trust.
  9. I wonder if the figure was that low what data was given to come up with it?
  10. If I remember correctly it was during the interview process that the TCC asked if the firm would kick back 10% and they readily agreed. I would suppose that their hourly rates were already known.
  11. This is for all those who believe and defend current YPT. This happened only 3 years ago.
  12. Give me background on who it will go to and an address and I will gladly double that.
  13. I have stated this before...my daughter was in girl scouts in Canada while we lived there. We had to pay $50 to get a clearance check before my wife could go on an overnight with my daughter. We gladly went to the RCMP filled out the paperwork and paid the $50. There was no exceptions.
  14. That is an absurd analogy. At little league practice and games you sit in bleachers and the players are on a field. $50 to be able to camp with your child and includes a background check and insurance is a bargain. About the same cost for cell phone service that is paid every month.
  15. There should only be one registration fee for parents who want to observe. $50 would be reasonable.
  16. If adult registration is only $50 and it includes a background check and maybe I need to buy a T-shirt and I would be allowed to go to all of the campouts no matter how long they last, be assured that every other adult that is there has had a background, plus it includes insurance then it should be a requirement for even 1 hour at a campsite.
  17. "OooI heard it thru the grapevine And I'm about lose my mind" That you are giving your lawyer 100% of the recovery?
  18. Last night prompted by this post I went to the coalition web site and viewed the two town halls for the first time that they have recorded and posted. Besides the amateurish production (even John and Doug on the lake video had better production value), the constant we have more money coming and will announce soon (but never announced), the we work hard but KR is always in his palatial estate, and the constant mumbling there is one thing which is the elephant in the room, a much not discussed conflict of interest is that when they keep saying that a yes vote is the fastest way to get money is that it is the fastest way for their prospective law firms to get money. I would love to hear KR say you will get your money quicker and so will I. Or how about you will get your small check quicker and I will get my fortune quicker!!
