Hey, I went through scouts in Orlando in the mid 70s. You sir have worn a lot of hats.

I incorporate beltloops with the activities we are doing. There is so much that overlaps and the kids really like getting them. Last year I did a beltloop roundup where kids could go from station to station and earn up to 4 belt loops. I'll probably do that again at least once this year. Our pack pays for all awards earned.

Buffalo Skipper, Seminole is most definately on the list of places to go. Only reason we were thinking else were for this trip is we already have a trip planned for accross the lake on the Florida side of Lake Seminole at Three Rivers State Park.

Thanks, Seems all Georgia State Park Pioneer Camps have either a pit toliet or outhouse. I have to think that Geogia Cub Scouts have used these campgrounds. In Baloo training they had the three P's rule of thumb. Portable Water, Porcelain toilets and one other P that escapes me right now.

I just ordered a pair of mediums. I hope the size chart is correct. I ordered a large pair of the switchback pants and they seemed a little too big. Especially with the elastic waist. I guess they are giving us some growing room.

I don't get this train of thought, that we have to be so modest. If you have a uniform wear it. I'd like to see more adults wearing their uniform because it sends the message to the boys. If you've earned awards wear them. If you enjoy earning and then showing off your awards more power to you. Do your best while earning them. Have fun with scouting, it's contagious.

Yay. It shows respect for everyone's belief. It doesn't make judgements as to winners and losers. That is up to the individual.

Why is it either/or. Maybe if you could give me some examples of what's getting pushed out for the sake of "modernizing"... I think all the things we teach and learn from scouting are relevent. We need to be more than just the 9-5 jobs we do to earn money.

Yes, our den chief always camps with us. He has been great for our Tigers this year. Lucky for us he's also our Cubmasters son so his Dad is always there.

It's a great belt loop. My cub scouts are excited about it and it's good for learning balance.
