  1. I would have benefited from not have such a low self worth and anxiety that I could have stayed. Only thing that would have helped me unfortunately.
  2. A fair number on "Talk About Scouting!" on Facebook telling me I suck and should move on. They are probably right...
  3. Not finishing Wood Badge shows I have problems working with others. That's a self esteem problem that sticking it out and "having fun" isnt going to fix. From a strictly Scout perspective... No Wood Badge = Not Worth a Damn Leader The WB cheerleaders have made it quite clear what they think of me. I know I shouldnt be concerned about people from the internet, but I have heard the message loud and clear. I had a good ass chewing from a local District volunteer as well. One thing they are right about, Wood Badge was a life changing experience. I fell back into a depressed sel
  4. I have decided when my son finishes AOL, I will not be crossing over with him in a Troop leadership position. I have zero interest in continuing in any leadership role.
  5. There is no URL. I took a picture of the page out of my binder and attached the photo.
  6. Recipe for that is the top of this thread. I did use black eyed peas instead of the kidney beans and pintos. Also... I think it probably needs a bit more "heat" . I used a can of Rotel, but it didnt add much to it.
  7. Trying this at home tonight to maybe fix for our adults.
  8. For Webelos and Cast Iron Chef... After we get past hot dogs, candy, pizza, etc that they suggest... What is a suggestion was planted for chicken quessadillas? Pre-cooked fajita chicken Bag cheese Tortilla They can put their own quesadilla together and then "cook" it on the griddle.
  9. Our "home camp" opened for reservations. So, we are having a Pack campout the first weekend of Dec. It might be chilly, but I promised camping during recruiting, so camping will be delivered.
  10. Imagine if you will there is no Covid and we can cook normal. 30 Cub Scouts + at least a parent... Using two burners to cook and one to have water going is not out of the question.
  11. Thrifty it was... I picked this up for $127 https://smile.amazon.com/Camp-Chef-EX90LW-Explorer-Outdoor/dp/B00AYU8BUC/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2HGSK8YPV214L&dchild=1&keywords=camp+chef+explorer+3+burner+stove&qid=1603069910&sprefix=camp+chef+explorer+3+%2Caps%2C445&sr=8-4
  12. They need something in place. I went into today to buy 7 Whittlin Chip cards at .19 cents each. I left with a new 3 Burner Propane Camp Chef stove and a new cast iron griddle. Because "Camping Equipment Sale"
  13. I think they can also do the Protect Yourself Adventure instead of Cyberchip if you prefer. https://i9peu1ikn3a16vg4e45rqi17-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/510-77819-PTYR-Adventure-Tiger-Requirements_WEB.pdf
  14. Our Council camps are opening back up but we are being directing to think of single serve type meals. I am not sure how to do single serve prepackaged on a Scout camping trip. Any ideas that might work? I wouldnt normally go this route, but was thinking about walking tacos maybe. It just comes down to one person spooning up meat into thier Fritos. Or have people prepare their foil pack dinners and home and we take them all together in the ice chest till we are ready to cook.
  15. Don't be sorry. You had no way of knowing Im a goober instead of a normal person.
  16. Pack Dining Canopy Take First Aid CPR/AED course Develop Pack Den Chief Program (implementation was not going to be included because cant depend on others to follow through) Create Pack Handbook for Parents Create campaign to help educate the public that girls are welcome to join, are encouraged to join and have joined. Use photos of our Scouts doing things, talk to Kyrstana's girls, and create something.
  17. I am not sure if proud is the word I am looking for, but I am proud to say I have moved on from this experience. I will not attempt WB again. I have however presented my 5 "ticket" ideas to my CC and he is supportive of them. So, I will proceed with that process. I have also started looking for other avenues of training.
  18. She called the course director I think last night. Apparently the Patrol Guide allowed some members of the Patrol take over and plan the meeting in between the two weeks and left her out of the conversation. Patrol Guide is supposed to have them revisit the meeting and he needs to be leading the effort. One thing I have found from some Wood Badge people, certainly not all, but some. Feedback is only a gift if its the feed back they want to hear. If not, then you didn't give it a chance, you didnt try hard enough. you should leave the program, etc.. All of Wood Badge folks real
  19. I think its been made clear that WB did not work for me. I still want leadership training on my own because I need the information and techniques. I am thinking TED talks online to get me started. Any recommendations Found this.... https://enterprisersproject.com/article/2018/6/10-ted-talks-sharpen-your-communication-skills
  20. Person that I already knew that was in my group.... I was talking to her last night and on Saturday she went to car and cried because she wanted to leave. Couldnt because the course was paid for her by someone else. But she is not happy with the event at all. AND!!! On Friday night, they served us cheese enchilades... the frozen kind that you throw in the oven and serve. Very nasty. 🤮
