  1. The 141 was before my time. We had the cramped C-130s and the luxurious C-17s. Those were nice. I grew up in the Air Force. Saw my stepdad wear a time to work everyday. Didn't want to do that. Joined the Army, then the AF decided that every day was combat uniform day across the board. Oh well, only a couple years left to go.

  3. The Third Circuit Court of Appeals has asked for briefing, due March 8, addressing "addressing whether the Court should hold this case C.A.V. pending the issuance of the Supreme Court’s decision in Harrington v. Purdue Pharma LP, No. 23-124. " To me, this seems to make sense. We'll have a Purdue ruling by the 4th of July. At this point, the court and parties are better off knowing the Purdue ruling before charging ahead with oral argument and decision. IMO, the BSA plan will get affirmed regardless of the Purdue outcome, but for different reasons. If third-party releases are acceptabl

  5. "...We need to follow the rules and regs." Agree. Otherwise, things would get out of hand and the uniform would become a joke lacking any purpose for wearing it. That said, taking a few liberties wearing a little extra "bling" at your local Pack Meeting or Den Meeting is not going to hurt anything. As a Cubmaster, I realize there are times to be very serious and times to havefun. In more public settings at aDistrict, Council, or civic event, I encourage the Cubs to remove any unnecessary "extras" from their uniforms and keep only to the basic insignia and rank badges.

  6. I'm gonna say that my position is between Jeffry and Eagle92: If wearing an extra temp patch gets the cub scouts more interested and more likely to participate in a program, activity, or event, then I say it is far more reasonable and justified to wear a patch or two too many per uniform specs. THis isn't the military, and I am not bound to the United States Code of Military Justice, nor am I acting in a treasonous way. Matter of fcat, I were a temp camp patch on my shirt above my right pocket. It's a cool patch with a pirate ship on it. Occasionally, I also wear another t

  7. In Cub Scouts, we love those temporary patches that hang off your pocket buttons. I know the guide says the right pocket but I don't care if anyone wears them on the left pocket. If a leader wants to wear one on each pocket or several, just for fun, then that's okay with me. I generally follow the insignia guide to the letter, but it's only a guide and not military law. Have fun wearing those temp patches! They show off where you have been and what you have been doing in the Scouting program.
