Current Youth Application?

I have just inherited a box of stuff which includes youth applications dated 2001 (unused). It seems they should be outdated, but wanted to check before tossing them.

In 2001 there were still separate applications for the different youth programs, unlike the unified application that exists today. If you have any adult applications from 2001, those are out of date also, as they don't have the criminal background check information (among other things.)

Both youth and adult applications are changing and should be available soon (still not updated online). Once the new forms are out, throw out all old forms.

They are changing Adult Apps AGAIN???? The youth change every so often, but the Adult apps change so many times, I think they must have some guy at National, whose only job is the adult apps, and he is doing it to look busy!

I just hope this time, the address field on the adult app will take the complete address, like the youth form does!

On changing the Adult Application again: I believe that in the discussion of the new Youth Protection requirements, there was mention that the Adult Application would be changed to reflect the new requirement (part of which is that a YP training certification must accompany the application; I'm not sure if that applies only to new leaders or also to existing leaders switching/adding positions.)

Actually, the Adult Application online at the National Forms site, #524-501A, is new, and has been updated with the new Youth Protection requirement. It is stated on both the front, and back, covers that YPT must be completed before turning in the application, or working with youth.

 

Toss those old applications from 2001.

 

Always use current BSA forms, especially applications.
