Melrose Scouting Productions Podcast (MSPP), the home of Buttons the radical Boy Scout and the Troop 68 videos, has joined forces with the PTC Media network. I was just searching the Scouting files on my computer and came across this little gem I did not even know I had. It is a 30 second BSA commercial for Cub Scouting from 2003(?). I wish I would have found this a couple weeks ago. I might have been able to use it to promote Cub Scouting in the community. Check it out and see what you think of it. I have noticed that a bit around here also. Cub Scout age boys really like Buttons. Adults get a chuckle from Buttons. Teenage boys seem to think Buttons is too "childish", but I think inside they are smiling at his antics. Steve B Scoutmaster, Troop 68, CMC http://melrosetroop68.org

Well, the 2007 summer camp season is over. Time to start posting videos about the fun of summer camp. Sometimes Scouts do things are are not very smart, but they are young and are still learning things. We as adults however think we know everything sometimes, and all of a sudden we do something stupid in front of the boys. I call these incidents "lessons in stupidity". Yes, I did see that in Spiderman. I thought it was nice to see Cub Scouts in a major motion picture. Nice PR, even if they were just "background".
