An interview with much info and with responsible discussion, at least in my view.

So I have an answer from my husband, finally. For context, he was a cub scout briefly but quit after getting weird vibes from the (female) leader, and has not come along to anything scouting-related other than a Pinewood Derby and a campout two weeks ago.

Thanks for the follow-up. Were it not for my involvement as a youth, I think my wife would be more apprehensive about our son joining Cub Scouts ~ the constant barrage of Abused in Scouting commercials greatly impacted her perception of the BSA. Cub Scouts has been a source of joy for my 1st Grader, but my wife remains skeptical. She often cites the "weird vibes" she picks up from a small number of people, although most families we've met through Scouting have been great.

The abused in scouting ads are going to slowly go away now that the settlement is winding down to the disbursement stage. The sad part is those ads are going to switch to something else now that the lawyers are getting paid out and wont have new money coming from scouting. Any bets that youth football is going to have a class action suit due to concussions and tbi?
