Stolen Troop gear is recovered

The Troop trailer was stolen, the gear removed, the police found the stuff in an unrelated search, and returns the gear.

Glad for the troop. I hope the thief or thieves can be introduced to some 'selective pressure', evolutionarily-speaking.

Glad the scouts got some gear back, but I saw no mention of arrests as a result of the initial search warrant.

 

Like Troop 2000, it is also common around here that a troop's home (where they store their gear) is outside in a trailer. Not desirable, but CO's often can offer no storage and neither register or insure; details left to Scoutmaster or Troop Committee.

 

Easy to steal and in summer bakes like an oven.

 

No mention of insurance coverage of stolen gear either.
