I'm glad I got my spousal unit to buy me a Jac-shirt for Christmas when it was still $100. She supports me and the male offspring unit's Scouting, but probably would have told me to take a hike for $150.

Only because you "weft" your warp behind. Perhaps you should take the shuttle!

Shame on us. Someone actually tried to put this thread back on track and we go to weaving 101.

Eamonn & dsteele, yes you both have "spun" this thread back off track. You two really should "mend" your ways. ;)

I really thought I was done with this, but as it turns out I just couldn't "linen" things alone. (Insert audible groan here).

JimmyD: Would your Dad still be enjoying this?

Me thinks that we have about worn this thread out. Could be time to have a dose of cotton gin. We could ask Jenny to serve it but she is always in such a spin.

The prices of uniforms would not be so outrageous if they weren't made by the same folks that make Dickies jeans--sold at Wal-Mart for less than 1/3 the price.

The Scout shop needs to look at what off-the-shelf products can be adapted to Scout needs to bring the costs into a reasonable figure.

Hmmmm Eamonn, looks like this thread is getting back on track, thus you were correct. I now know I can always "Ely" on your judgement.

I've heard of Dickies, but don't know much about 'em. I guess my first question is what's their durability as compared with the Scout pants?

That's like asking how a Mack Truck compares to a Yugo. Dickies are industrial strength work clothes made for serious working conditions. They last forever or nearly so.
