KoreaScouter 13
OK, here's the problem. Troop Record Book pages don't line up. They only have room for 42 Scouts. Shuffle patrols, or get adds/drops, and your book's a mess. I need help; does anyone know of an excel spreadsheet-thing that clones the TRB, especially the attendance pages? Please don't tell me TroopMaster. We use it, but not to take meeting attendance and I don't lug a computer on every outing. KS
Eamonn 61
Sorry KS I can't help with the paper work. Back in the day I had the APL turn the attendance records from the patrol into the troop scribe. This was turned in at the PLC meetings. Eamonn
FScouter 24
Gee, I thought I was the only one with that problem. I waited for the next printing, expecting that the printer would get it right, but no. The record book is a great idea, but the sloppy bindery job makes it unworkable. I use Troopmaster now, and print individual pages to carry around.
KoreaScouter 13
I actually had to draw arrows on the pages so the Troop Scribe could line the names up with the boxes -- they're that skewed. Maybe I need to dig into the TM utilities a little more than I have; if I can print a few sheets of paper that'll do the same thing as the TRB, that might solve my problem. John-in-KC 311
Go to school supply store. Get teacher's record book. Make Scribe keep attendance.
KoreaScouter 13
You know what, I did get back into TM, and there's general purpose forms that print out with all the names, organized by patrol. Just what I needed! KS
scoutldr 732
If it's any consolation, the same problem existed back in 1967 when I was a Troop Scribe.
