Committee Meeting

Our committee chair has not been seen or heard from in months and does not reply to messages. The SM has been less than helpful. Who can call a committee meeting so that we can appoint a new committee chair and begin to operate efficiently once again?

I'd say a group of the committee members can call a meeting. You can discuss a path forward. Who can appoint a new committee chair? Basically only the COR. Is your committee chair also the COR?

And if your COR is also the CC, then talk to the charter executive officer (the pastor, etc).  If you don't know who that is, call the council office for advice.

You can contact your COR or IH (chartered organization rep or institutional head) and have a new Cmte Chair appointed. Any concerned parent can always get a group of concerned parents together to consider what needs to be done. All volunteers of a unit serve at the pleasure of the Institutioinal Head and the rep but it is also part of the committees duty to see that all leadership positions are filled. Hope this helps.
