merritt 10
what is a commando rope apparatus - assuming a combination of knots?
lasteagle83 10
This was a length of rope that had a spliced eye in one end, and a wooden toggle on the other end. Each person could carry their own shorter section of rope (memory serves me as 6 feet), and when linked together (toggle into spliced eye) you could form a rope of whatever length needed. This way, one person didn't have to carry a long rope - each person shared the responsibility equally.
red feather 10
Got it right lasteable83. Have made them with metal as the toggle for better stength. yis

ASM7 10
We made commando ropes for Woodbadge. They were part of our uniform. It's a good project for the Scouts also but don't let them sling them around as a weapon. Good to see you back Bob White Doug
