Anyone have any suggestions for a kayaking trip of multiple days in the Midwest (Illinois, Missouri, Kentucky, etc) I know there are trips up north in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, etc., but am looking for something down south where the weather and water is a little warmer. Any help would be appreciated.

Look at the Current River in MO. http://www.current-river.com/ I offer that commercial link only because it showed up first in a search and appeared to have some good information. I have no idea about the quality of their services.

I know you initially ruled out WI, but if you're going in the summertime, the north country has great weather, with low humidity. Here is a really underutilized, inexpensive resource, with some great scenery: http://dnr.wi.gov/forestry/StateForests/SF-NH-AL/NH-AL-rec-canoe.htm

Once spent a nice Christmas on the Buffalo River in Arkansas.

Wilderness camping on gravel bars. The spiders would crawl up out of the pebbles to enjoy our warmed tents.

I think there is one class 3 riffle on the whole stretch, but who wants water in their face in January?
