OGE and FOG I have been taken on snipe hunts, and I thought it was great. What happened to me at one point, however, was not funny. All of the older scouts came back with duct tape and started trying to tape us. I did manage to escape, but I will never do that to a younger scout. JB

Going through OA Ordeal Getting Brotherhood Being elected Chapter Chief in my chapter(no one else ran...maybe I should have said "no" more than six times? But it has been fun. I may actually "run" next year!lol) Being on two OA ceremony teams(pre-ordeal and Brotherhood) Naming my JLTC patrol the "Alabama Chrome" patrol(that's duct tape for you yankees)and making our flag almost entirely out of... again, what else? Duct tape! Thats about all for now, but there are so many more that I can't remember YIS, JB

Hello all, I'll have to agree with Hops on the Camelbak Thermobak 3 Liter(but mine leaks at the lid. anybody know what to do about that?), Red feather on the deck of cards( I have Iraqui most wanted cards, big hit with my troop and my COPE class at summer camp while waiting for the bus), eagle90 on the mini mag, and It's trail day on the chess set. I would also like to add...Duct Tape!(wrapped around the mini mag, of course) I didn't make it up, but I still like to say it.. "A true Redneck can fix anything with a roll of duct tape and a pair of vise grips", also known as Alabama chrome and Georgia silver, respectively. (BTW, I'm from Georgia in case yall couldn't tell)

By the way, a snipe really is a small, brown, black and white spotted bird. JB

I may not be a SM or ASM, but as an "older scout", I've pulled a prank or two...or ten...thousand! Just kidding. But I have had some good ones. My personal favorite is an oldie but a goodie: snipe hunting. Once, my troop was on a caving trip in North Carolina. We had two new scouts, and one had never been snipe hunting. The whole evening we were building up to it. We came up with a rating system for the size of a snipe (in my troop it is a "large squirrel-like animal")in which each "one" means three inches. In other words a "three" would be nine inches long. We also came up with six or seven different kinds of snipes. For instance: the American Green, the Egyptian Yellow, the Canadian Red, the African Grey, the [insert country] [insert color]. Well, you get the idea. we never did go snipe hunting because we were in an RV park and didn't have much woods to use.(I know that's bad grammar, but i couldn't think of a better way to word it) On the way home, we started a snipe hunters club. You had to have caught at least a "three" to join. We haven't taken the young scout snipe hunting yet, but the stage is set for next time! Yours in Pranking(is that a word?) JB

BTW, Tamegonit, do you trade flaps and patches? if so, you should go to your section Conclave. It's a lot of fun, and a lot of people trade patches there. But be careful. even in OA i've seen adults try to rip off youth(no offense, adults!). Have an adult who knows about patches and who you trust(chapter adviser, lodge adviser, etc.) help you make deals with people you don't know. Even if you don't trade patches go to Conclave. It's a lot of fun. WWW, JB

I am Chapter Chief of Towaliga chapter, Ini-to Lodge 324. I joined in 2001 and became Brotherhood in 2002. I am the "Chieftain" (can't say his name, non members might see) in the pre-ordeal ceremony, and the "Guard" in the Brotherhood ceremony. BTW, andrewcanoe, in my lodge, it still is "tapped out" and involves "three slaps to the right shoulder". I guess yourlodge changed it. P.S. If anyone wants to trade a Talidandaganu 293 lodge flap, I am looking for one. It is the only one in my section that I don't have.

I am looking for a flap from a lodge in the OA section SR6S, it is called Talidandnuga?, or Talidandaganu? I was at Conclave 2003 trying to getcurrent flaps from every lodge, it is the only one I didn't get. Please tell me where I can get one. Will trade one Ini-to 324 flap or one Sakima 573 flap. Thanks for any help. p.s. please help me with spelling
