  1. I learned a lot in the last year. I'll see what I can remember:) --Rock Climbing is sweet, but Rappelling is by far the best part:):) --Patrol cooking is a decent method during summer camp though not when you are with the NSP:( --Rain sucks --Tug-of-war is sweet right after it rains, but your leather work gloves are now ruined:) --Giving Cub Scouts compasses with built in whistles was a bad idea --LNT --Use of bear bag --I am an awesome rifle shooter, too bad I didn't take the merit badge --Camp Joy sucks compared to others (Yes Purcelce our Camp Joy) --Plumbing at summer camp is great, though watch out for flying plungers:) Inside joke/will explain if needed. --Cots and partner in a 9 by 8 foot tent does not work; especially for a week. Especially when the tent is only 48" tall. Guess thats it for now at least. I'll try thinking of more.
  2. Trying to get into the room. If anybody would like to join me, I'm going to keep trying and hopefully succeed.

  4. Dave, I didn't understand the question, would mind rewording the question for me please? When I understand better, I'll tell you how I feel about it.
  5. I wasnt sure exactly what my age was when the question was asked;) I figured it out today b/c we were talking about birthdays at lunch:) : ) put together : ( put together ; ) put together :):):)
  6. Dave, I, too, hope to meet you some day. And many more of you. I've met Purcelce already. I would love to meet more of you.
  7. I'll second a little Toby Keith How about "I Love this Bar" or "Angry American" Maybe "Who's Your Daddy"?? Or how about his one of his new ones... "American Soldier" I can't wait to get his new cd---- "Shock n y'all"
  8. I never did let you guys know how the trip went. Oops:) We hiked the Taum Salk Trail in Southern Missouri. 8 miles each way is what we ended it up doing. It hailed on us, but nothing was wet the next morning which was weird. I ended up leaving the Camelbak in the van due to a leak in the cap:( I learned there are several things I need for the next trip: new boots Nalgene bottle backpacking/bivy tent lighter, more compact sleeping bag I guess that's it:( but I know there are more things I want/need for backpacking and regular camping.
  9. Shucks.... You beat me by half a year to be the youngest.
  10. In now for a little bit. Please come chat. http://groups.msn.com/boyscouts
  11. Varsity Scouts are Orange I believe
  12. This has been discussed before.... It DOES NOT matter. I believe it was brought up last time that the organization can choose where to wear the flag, and the Scout(er) and even choose whether he/she wants to wear it. Military tradition states that the Stars lead the way. They are always facing the enemy charging, not retreating. We aren't military.
  13. The weather is weird down here in St Louis area. It was about 60 degrees outside at 3, now its about 50:( and windy. We have drop off this week and pick up the next week. Our area has Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Venture Crew, SHOW(school group), and maybe some others.
  14. Ed, he has already said that PowerPoint wont allow use of Real Player files.
  15. First instinct says not possible. Sorry. Only thing I can think of is to download and use RealPlayer:(
  16. We solved the running around camp real easy---- we tell them they must kiss a tree if they get caught running. It doesnt happen often. I dont know when or how it came about, but people have been told that for as long as I can remember-- Cub Scouts, Girl Scout outings I've been on, Boy Scouts, etc
  17. Yes they do have a website... http://www.buglesacrossamerica.org
  18. It has finally let me in!!!:) So if any of you want to chat for a little bit, I'm in until probably 11 Central Time.
