Knight 10
Does anyone use a bridge (similar to Cub Scouts) during rank advancement at Court of Honor? Just curious...
Lisabob 13
We don't. I think our boys would consider it childish, something that they did as cub scouts.
frank10 12
Maybe a zipline would be more their style?
Lisabob 13
Now THAT would be cool! Are you kidding, it might be the biggest single motivator to finish up rank requirements in time for CoH we've ever seen. Hmm....
scoutmomma 10
We don't use a bridge, but we do have a large, stepped candleholder, with one candle for each rank from Tenderfoot up to Eagle, with 12 candles lined up in front for the points of the Scout Law. As part of our Courts of Honor, designated scouts light the candles for the Scout Law, as well as the candles for each rank being presented that evening.
BuffaloSR793 10
I'm thinkin zip line, or a Monkey Bridge....
SM in NJ 10
Uhhhh.... nope. We only use our bridge for the "Bridging Ceremony" when the boys cross over from Webelos. I think the Boy Scouts might look at it as childish. But I will certainly ask their opinions - just to see what they say. SMNJ
emb021 16
I've never seen a bridge used in any CoH. Usually I see the use of candles and the like.
beaver1onit 10
Our troop has never used a bridge for rank advancement. The only bridge we used is Webelos crossover to the troop. I do like the zip line idea.
