New Knot?

I have heard that National is putting out a new knot for Commissioner Service.

Anyone have news/info on this?

Requirements?

Reason for this knot coming out at this time? (If it really is)

The Distinguished Commissioners Knot is hardly new. Be around atleast 5-10 years.

 

And considered its existance, and that commissioners can earn the Scouter's Key, what would the purpose of another new knot for commissioner service be?

Just received word that National has approved a new

knot, for those with a doctorate in commissioner

science. I don't have the requirements, just know

that it has been approved, and that the requirements

are such that it can be earned and worn even by folks

in councils without a college of commissioner science.

With National being a bit learly about new knots, my general attitude with all this is 'I'll believe it when I see something formal from National'.

I'd like to see Den Chiefs who get awarded the red white and blue rope receive a knot to wear as an adult. Heck some Den Chiefs work way harder than AOL receipients.

 

I have the AOL knot.

 

I've worked with some great kids who are den chiefs.

I never was one.

Some people think anything can be fixed by throwing a square knot at it. I think a bowline would be more appropriate...Commissioner service needs to be rescued...or let it drown and forget it.
