Vicki 11
Methinks we missed "m" in the merriment of the second round - midway along midst Stosh, Narraticong, and Ed. My, I must be misusing my mandated minutes. Vicki
Lisabob 13
Maybe you're myopic Vicki. My understanding is that Narraticong mitigated that mistake.
Vicki 11
Ah, amidst the banter concerning dyslexia the error found good hiding in the jungle. Kudos, Lisa! Methinks the least I could do is navigate over precarious, quickened, rough shoals to unviolated, virtuous, well-appointed Xenia's youthful Zip-code. Stosh 3452
Anyway boys can do everything for getting his interests justified keeping leisure moments nearly open perhaps quickening reachable suitable talents using very ways .... dang! Stosh
Vicki 11
using very ways...zealously (or zanily). V
Narraticong 15
I will admit to being both a conservative and a Lutheran. But, to the best of my knowledge, I am not now, nor have I ever been, a mitigator!
Vicki 11
mitigated - lessened, reduced (the impact or severity of the effect of something). not mitigator. V
Buffalo Skipper 13
Blue. What do you think of when you see "Blue." The first thing that comes to my mind is the Cherokee tribe. The Cherokee nation had 7 family clans. Amazingly complex and really interesting social system, which I won't bore you with here. But why what is the connection to "Blue"? The seven clans were: Bird, Deer, Wolf, Wild Potato, Long Hair, Paint and Blue. I always thought it would be really neat to see reasonable sized troop with a patrol theme which mimicked the 7 Cherokee clans.
Lisabob 13
Buffalo Skipper - why Blue? I can see where the rest of those came from.
Vicki 11
They were responsible for making blue medicine from a bluish holly plant which protected the health of their children. Their official name is the Ani'sahoni means literally 'Blue Medicine People.' They are also called the 'Panther' or 'Wild Cat Clan', which represents their protective role in Cherokee culture. Apparently they also kept the peace. Vicki (DH is part-Cherokee) (This message has been edited by Vicki)
Lisabob 13
Aha! (Thanks Vicki)
Narraticong 15
mitigator- one who mitigates. Tending more toward antagonation, I am still not a mitigator.
OldGreyEagle 5
antagonation, wasn't that a play by Sophocles?
Vicki 11
I believe Lisa and I were using mitigate in a different sense of the word than you were. So be it, no big deal. All in good fun. OGE, I believe you mean Antigone? V
OldGreyEagle 5
AH, yes, Antigone, thats the one. I wonder if the world would be a better place if we all but studied the classics, I wonder if war would disappear if a global Lysistrata were to appear? I loved Aristophanes, he was a hoot!
