SouthPoleScout
Believe it or not, its time to start planning for summer activities. We're looking for a place to recommend to our parents as an alternative resource for less expensive uniform parts. I know there have been some mentioned here before.. and we've already added eBay to the list... but can anyone recommend other exchanges/sites/etc? all help appreciated! asm238
Try thrift stores. Look for them mixed in with militery clothing. Look out for shorts from the "70"s they are really short. They look like hot pants. I have some of that era and the boys will not wear them. Also make sure the patches are sewed on not glued.
hskydg
Our Troop (as I'm sure others) have established a uniform bank for Scouts who decide to leave the Troop or outgrow their old uniforms. These are just the ticket for new scouts or scouts who need extras for Summer Camp. Takes a while to get started, but works for us....
ExperiencedUniforms
Greetings South Pole Scout: I run an online uniform bank, and am slowly assembling a network of other online uniform banks. If you are looking for low-cost unused and used uniforms, insignia &/or equipment, take a look at http://www.geocities.com/o_sheffler/experien.html You can also find some links to uniform exchanges right here on the Scouter bulletin board at http://www.scouter.com/compass/Scouting_Organizations/Boy_Scouts_of_America/Uniforms/ Keep on Scoutin' ora
