Wow, I think the most frequent meets in our pack are twice a month (and even then its pulling teeth for some to attend half the time.) Wish you the luck with that and ty for the summaries!

LOL, I thought the same thing yesterday (minus the cartwheels - some of us just can't do that so be proud! )

I was told the other day various den leaders would be heading it off at our day camp this summer. One is a teacher at the highschool (he's held many positions and was there when I attended so I'm sure he has knowledge in at least one of those areas), not sure about the rest. I brought up that I thought they had to have experience in the area they would be helping in/leading in but didn't get a response.

Hang in there, a lot of us have been waiting, lol. Hopefully they'll have it fixed one day. Welcome to the forums!

I also have tried to register for months now. I am unfamiliar with SE but will read the FAQ and check it out.

Right now I use paper and pencil. Not sure what the pack uses, we haven't ever discussed it. Definitely need to look at my options (but for now, I'm OK with paper ) @ 5yearscouter, looking closer at the images above, they are two different ones. Maybe its two screenshots of two different areas? I may check it out to see (since we are currently Tigers.)

5yearscouter, I think that's a great idea but as far as sentimental value, some people would not go for that. I agree with you about Facebook. I work on Facebook all day long (sometimes nights too), the last place I want to go to chat afterwards is yet again, Facebook BadenP, I believe both issues you listed are part of this big fiasco that appeared when they updated. I've noticed it all since day one, I keep seeing that it is on vBulletin's end (and very likely is) but there's gotta be a faster fix for it (and I say that from experience from when I was a moderator for Zynga and modded their forums for two years.) Every time we'd have an like this, our tech people had it sorted in no time.

That's the same thing I've been doing, moosetracker. It's the only way I can get to the next page on any thread over a page long. Just wish the threads would stay put!

At this point I'm iffy to even post questions here anymore. I know its all part of the 'glitching' but I am very irked that the past 2-3 weeks posts have poofed. I'm sure they'll return sometime or another (well, maybe) but it's almost impossible to post anything without the chance of it disappearing shortly after. I have searched and searched and have yet to find another scouting forum online that didn't belong to a specific area (I love this one but have no idea if it'll be fixed or not.)

I was thinking the same, I just said earlier things were working much better and the bulk of my posts have poofed, lol. Glad to see this thread re-emerged! vBulletin is being absolutely evil.

Just wanted to wish you the best of luck with it all. I live in SC myself (a couple hours away from there, though) but its nice to see others on here somewhat locally as well. I can definitely ask around in our circles and see if I get any bites.

I don't have much to add here that hasn't already been said but I did experience something similar to this in the past few months. There are 4 scouts in our den that have completely dropped off since December (around the time the other den leader completely quit pitching in, who was a good friend of all their moms.) They all re-chartered via our Cub Master but have nothing to do with me. No responses to phone calls, texts, emails - I let them know of everything coming up and never hear anything in return. At the B&G, none showed up but our CM still had their Tiger patches ready (even though they did not complete half the achievements.) I realized at that point that nothing I could do would sway them, either they'll come back or they'll eventually drop out altogether (per advice of others and the writings in here as well.) I wish you luck with it, definitely try not to take it personally. I did for the first few weeks but as my husband pointed out, its for the boys, you can only do so much and not everyone who joins sticks with it (he's an example of that as he quit early on when he was a child.)

Came back today to see if there had been any change. I understand the preservation of the forums as well (as someone who has used forums since I could get online, I understand that completely.) But I've never come across a forum update that is as buggy as this one. Still unable to edit posts, view certain pages, update my photo, post a thread, etc. Glad I can at least post here and was able to make an account. If other people new to here had as much trouble as I did trying to get an account in the first place, that would def. explain a lack of new signups (it took months of trying before a verification email finally arrived to my inbox.)

@ Packsaddle, I completely understand that and ty for the fast response As a moderator myself for multiple other forums, I know things like this take time. I mainly wanted to give input that it wasn't completely isolated to jpstodwftexas, as I'm getting it no matter where I try to post. Same issue with my avatar, posting in some other threads and other small things I tested just to see what did and didn't work. Was wondering if there was an ETA on when it would be fixed but I know from your response there isn't, as I'd been trying to sign up here for months (and very glad it finally went through!) None of this is in my league either, lol, just definitely frustrating (and I imagine even more so for Scouter-Terry.)

I've had the same problem as jpstodwftexas. Tried multiple times to post a new thread in the New Members area. Keep getting a message saying I'm not authorized

I see I was able to finally post. I cannot make any threads but this post and the one before went through. When clicking on the thread, I can't see this post but I see it does say I was the last poster. I was unable to edit the post above (can't see it in the thread and unable to edit it from my profile.) Hoping this kink is worked out soon, look forward to posting more around here (Tried to introduce myself but it wouldn't allow me to.)

I've had issues registering, then posting for months now. Still trying to get a post to go through. Fingers crossed
