Hello from Virginia

Recommended Posts

I just recently joined this forum and thought that I would introduce myself. This year was my first year as a den leader for our Tiger Cubs, but we have an older son who went all the way through Cub Scouts and crossed over to a Boy Scout troop in February 2007. He is now a First Class Scout and thoroughly enjoying all of his troop's activities. Seeing how each level of Cub Scouting builds on the previous levels and how it all relates to Boy Scouts helped me decide to take on the challenge of being a den leader for my younger son. I am also a merit badge counselor at the troop level.

We live in Fauquier County, Virginia, which is in the National Capital Area Council's Piedmont District. We are also a homeschooling family, although our pack and troop have a mixture of boys.

I've tried to fill out the profile so that when I post messages my location shows, but the form doesn't seem to get saved.

Greetings, Kanoa. Welcome to our virtual campfire. Grab a cup of coffee and pull up a log. Having traveled to Bethesda with my job (Navy), I stopped in at the NCAC council center. Very impressive, thanks to Mr. Marriott!
