Its gone well, it actually was a pretty nice curriculum, its usually best done at a district or council level as the dynamics work better with more people, but it can be done in a crew.

 

When I first read the agenda for the VLSC I was not sure how well it would run, but it ran well and the youth liked it

we ran this last Fall as a lock-in and it went pretty well. A couple of older Vs presented to about 6 youth from multiple Crews; split over an evening and a morning sessions. They worked pretty hard on involving everyone and did a good job. After lunch we went climbing and stopped for ice cream.

Also took the opportunity to run VLST in another room...

Next time around I'd like to split the sessions up among various Crews to let more folks learn at multiple levels - but hasn't happened yet! And maybe look at some COPE-style games to keep the energy up?
