In our area, model rocketry CAN be considered "fireworks". Depends on the venue and situation. AND on the consequences of the model rocketry. If, for instance, you launch a MR (powered by an explosive motor, like Estes type, on a sufficiently large property and it lands in the property, no problem. BUT, if it lands on someone else's property, it could be treated as an illegal firework. ($$$$ liability!).

Not to be done at any of the public parks round about. But this year, our CSDC is to be held on an IWL property, and a MRClub will be doing a demo. All cleared by the Council, the IWL, and the county firemarshal.
