casper
hi there, I'm a portuguese scout leader but i follow this forums with grat interest. well, and now the question. The Kandersteg Internacional Scout Camp as some merit badges that scouts can "conquer". some leaders in portugal think that: 1- scoutmasters should not wear it (they are only for scouts) 2- everybody coud wear it forever 3 - everybody coud wear it but just for some time. what's you opinion about it? big lefthandshake! scoutldr
In the USA, merit badges and badges of rank may be earned and worn by youth under age 18 only. The only exception is the Eagle Scout award, for which a red, white and blue square knot (reef knot) is worn above the left shirt pocket. In other countries, the custom may be different.
