Eagle CoH display question

Recommended Posts

We've been to a number of Eagle Courts of Honor. Many have a slide show or photo albums showing the boys from Cub Scouts on through the years. Our son didn't start until later in Boy Scouts. At his Eagle CoH, we didn't have many of those types of pictures available. Would it have been acceptable to put out photos of him in his other activities? He has earned numerous county and a couple of 4-H state championships and is head of an academic team at school where he's done well at the state level. He's had a wonderful time in scouts, and it has been a life changing experience with amazing mentors. His CoH is already finished, but several boys coming up have excelled in other areas. Would you put only scouting experiences on display? That is the option we went with.

My sons' Eagle photo album included his time in the HS band, his trip to music camp, and his trips to space camp. His display included his CS uniform with brag vest as well as his trek map from Philmont.

It's his life; he should be proud of the great things done thus far!

Yep, what they said.

The boy is father to the man. He will be what he has been. He is a Scout, to be sure, but he is not only a Scout. Let him proudly show what he has accomplished, even as a boy.

As your boy looks over his shoulder to see where he's come from, remind him to not get a kink in his neck from dwelling on the past and not paying attention to his next possibilities.

Congratulations, Scout. You done good.

Congratulations, mom. You done good, too.
