local1400 10
I remember my councils' camp would keep partial records on file at camp until the end of the next camp season. Any unfinished partials were discarded then. Perhaps this goes on elsewhere and thats the notion behind a "one year rule"?
Hunt 11
We hear about this 1-year rule so often that I wonder whether at some point in the past it was a BSA rule. Personally, I love it when a boy wants to finish up a MB, even if it's really old--maybe especially when it's really old.
John-in-KC 311
Very true in policy, not quite so true in practice. Local Council camp will honor only previous years partials. Council Advancement Committee and Council Commissioner appear to be quite accepting of this, both having publicly concurred with the practice. Sometimes, you have to pick your battles, else you end up being Sisyphus pushing that bloody rock up the hill!
