I was interested in starting a new Sea Scout unit near me, but have NO idea how to go about it

I Goodwill'ed them and got 38s

I am a 30 yr old, so I doubt I will keep growing lol, I have the older pants

I bought a pair of the older style pants (2 pairs) and both are 36s... but they are a tight 36! The elastic is so snug that it seems a bit too tight (or I am not used to it), anyone else have this issue?

No peeing on tree awards?

I emailed the council 3 or 4 times to get my stepdaughter in (and me in as a volunteer) NOTHING

As I am new to scouting, I will let the more experienced people offer more advice, I'd say take your son to his troop meeting and see what they all are wearing

I have wide feet (but oddly have been wearing regular 11s in boots, instead of 11W)... anyway, I can't find a decent boot around 50.00... whats a good recommendation? I have CAT Second Shift Work boots but hear they suck as hiking boots.

I wear silver for UC, but I have a shirt for that duty and a separate shirt for Troop/Pack duty (haven't joined one yet)

I can get the red off eBay and both of my shirts are the old LaRenta shirts (same with my pants). I asked because aside from being a new UC, I need to figure if I am doing Boy or Cub Scout as an Adult Leader (waiting for some emails back)

I've heard two different things about the red loops, that they are no longer authorized, and that they can be worn as long as you have the old uniforms... what is the requirement?

I keep a Trauma Kit for Medical Emergencies (instead of using my necker lol)

Commissioner necker

I was a Cub Scout back in my day, then was an LE Explorer, right now I just turned in my BSA app and did most of the online training, doing UC training in March

Going to a district meeting Thursday, took most of the General Online training

Bolo or neckerchief... he said those were required items

I have two daughters, no sons, just want to help out

My district Commissioner told me a neck item is required for my position

I am a new Unit Commissioner (waiting for the Official Word), and wanting to join a Pack/Troop, can I do it as long as its not a unit I am assigned to? Also, I decided the best thing to do would be to buy two shirts, one for UC the other for Pack/Troop

Can a Unit Commissioner hold a position in a troop/pack they are not assigned to?

New to the boards, used to be a Cub Scout, then went into Law Enforcement Explorers. Joined the Air Force, and back now to be an Adult Leader. I am currently waiting training to be a Unit Commissioner, but also looking to join a local troop/pack.
