  1. When a Webelos den crosses over to Boy Scouts we reissue that numer to the incoming Tiger den in September. Example, Den 7 is crossing over next February, that number will go to my Tiger Den which will start meeting that September. we do not number by rank, just reissue the numbers.
  2. Our Pack collects $64 per boy for the year. Of that, $40 goes to the pack fund and $24 goes back to each boys Den. This has worked out well but since I started 4 years ago and even before me, the dues have not changed. We give the families an option of paying all in September or half in September and half in January. This seems to help those out who are struggling. As far as fundraisers, we sell popcorn and have a bowl a thon in the spring. This money pays for the boys to go camping whether its a Pack or Council sponsored event. The parents pay their own way.
  3. We also had low Tiger numbers this year, 3, compared to last yers number of 22. I have been having joint den meetings between my Wolfs and the Tigers. It has been working out very well with no problems. I think this gives the Tigers a good exposure to a functional and busy den. The Tiger leader works on Tiger advancment while I work with the Wolfs. On some advancements, we were able to combine the groups. Game time is also fun and opens up more options with a larger group.
  4. Our pack collects $64 per year per boy. Of that, $24 goes into the boys den and $40 goes into the pack. Dues are collected in September with an option of paying in 2 installments of $32 in September and $32 in January. This seems to work well although I find I run out of money in the den by Nov-Dec.
  5. 1. Tiger Den Leader 2. Den meets 3 times a month. 3. Pack meets once a month on the last Friday. Pack campout is in April. We also participate in council sponsored campouts throughout the year. 4. We participate in day camp on an individual basis during July. Pack cookout in August. Dens meet for outdoor activities a few times during summer.
  6. Being a new Tiger Den leader, I find using the individual record forms from the leader handbook usefull especially at the Den meeting when checking the boys handbooks. Quiet surprisingly, they update them and bring them to meetings. When I get home I transfer the data to an excel based program called tigertrax which I found online. This is where I keep more detailed record.
  7. Hello all, Great to be onboard. Just got back into scouting after 17 year hiatus. Lots of change. I think I was more excited about getting involved than my 6 year old son. Anyway, great site. YIS, Bob
