  • OA membership in 2 lodges?

Is it allowed if you fulfill the requirements for membership in each lodge?

    Fulfill the requirements?
    You mean pay dues?

Its long been National policy that you are only allowed to be a member of ONE lodge.

I've been involved with 2 councils, however, I am only a member of one lodge.

That is what I heard, but I can not find where that is stated.

kahits - Check in the OAHB.

This statement from the OA website references the 2000 edition; I don't have the 2009 edition with me to get the page number. "Members of the OA may be official dues-paying (and, in the case of youth, voting) members of only one lodge, that being the lodge chartered to the council where they reside and have their principal Scouting Registration." (OA Handbook, p. 47, 2000 revision.)
