Hello from Central Kentucky

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I've been reading these forums for a couple months and have learned quite a bit about how scouting has changed since I was a scout in the early 80's.

I have a son who has started scouting as a Tiger Cub, and I am finding that I really missed the positive things that scouting has to offer. It's great getting to experience scouting again with my son. The friends that he's making and the skills he's learning are going to enrich his life in ways he doesn't even realize.

I enjoy the way Tiger Cubs involves the parents and prepares the boys and the adult partners for the next phases of Cub Scouts. I have had several opportunities to volunteer to help with den activities and I find it very rewarding. We have a great Den Leader who brings a great deal of experience and enthusiasm to the den.

Thanks for saving me a place at the campfire and I look forward to learning from your experience.

Jay
