Keys to Understanding the Patrol Mehtod

I have been given the task to present a plan to the SM and Committee on how to improve the use of the Patrol Method in our Troop.

I can see that most of the other leaders have no concept of what the Patrol Method is.

I would like to start with a short bulleted list on what the patrol method is.

I have some ideas but would like some input from the forum.

 

I am not looking for ways to instill the patrol method but ways to explain what it means.

If you are interested in accuracy, I would double check anything that the BSA attributes to Baden-Powell.

 

Most of their B-P misquotes were actually things that were said by William Hillcourt, but in the 3rd Edition of "Handbook for Scoutmasters," Hillcourt attributes this one to Roland Phillips.
